Reminiscing about the day I contemplated making this a Meme was another grave error I committed. Present me isn't really embracing this Meme as a Meme, I now consider this to be equivalent to an IQ of a sloth. Yes, I've made this with a Meme Generator, I've used Images from Google Images and a couple from one of Boruto Next Generations episode.
Two would've been great characters that have such an unrealistic dysfunctional relationship yet is portrayed as their dynamic.
It isn't even considered modern romance. Naruto was sympathetic for Hinata because he never noticed her until the very end of the series. He gave insulting reasons on the fact why Hinata was better for Naruto.
The entire phenomenon of the Naruto-Sakura-Hinata triangle is absolute bullshit. If Kishimoto desired Hinata Hyuga in place of Sakura Haruno he would've done so as conception to Modern Romance without spoiling. He always had an excuse to justify the fact that he isn't a good artist in portraying romance. It's kind of hilarious that he milked millions of his fans whilst being a troll, purposely fooling your fans too "Spice things up", nice Kishimoto.

I'm going to give you one of my unpopular opinions about the series Naruto as a whole. The things that really gets my gears a-grinding is
Masashi Kishimoto's ass-pulling ideas that eventually pummeled a consistent plot into oblivion.
As a female and a woman, if a man constantly pushes me away, makes horrible decisions that would eventually lead to his death, betray me because of his goals, threaten my life. It wouldn't make her a "horrible-woman" for having a change of heart, in fact, that decision would help her to mature.
